Jaap Vos

Biography

Jaap Vos is a highly respected leader in warehouse automation and intralogistics, with more than three decades of experience helping organizations transform their supply chains through advanced automation technologies. Throughout his career, Jaap has worked with some of the world’s leading automation companies, supporting the design, implementation, and scaling of intelligent logistics solutions across Europe and global markets.

Prior to joining Rainbow Dynamics, Jaap held senior leadership positions at SSI SCHÄFER, one of the world’s leading providers of warehouse automation, logistics systems, and material handling solutions. During his nearly 17-year tenure, he served as Managing Director UK and Senior Vice President Northern Europe, leading regional growth, customer development, strategic partnerships, and business operations. As a member of SSI SCHÄFER’s Operational Board, he contributed to the company’s broader strategic direction and supported the delivery of complex automation projects across multiple industries.

Earlier in his career, Jaap gained valuable experience with Vanderlande, a globally recognized leader in automated material handling and logistics automation solutions. Vanderlande, now part of Toyota Industries’ Material Handling business, is recognized worldwide for its advanced solutions in warehouse automation, parcel handling, and airport logistics systems. His experience at Vanderlande provided him with deep expertise in large-scale automation projects, system integration, and the operational requirements of highly complex logistics environments.

Beyond his corporate leadership roles, Jaap has also made significant contributions to the wider intralogistics industry. He served as President of SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers’ Association), the UK’s leading trade association representing the storage equipment and warehouse racking industry. During his presidency, Jaap contributed to the advancement of industry standards, warehouse safety practices, and professional development, helping promote best practices across the storage and logistics sector.

Jaap has also served on the Board of Directors of Kardex, a global leader in automated storage and retrieval solutions and intralogistics technologies. Through his board-level responsibilities, he contributed strategic insights into market development, technology evolution, and the future direction of automated storage solutions.

At Rainbow Dynamics, Jaap is responsible for the UK and European markets, leading regional growth, customer engagement, strategic partnerships, and market development. He brings extensive knowledge of European supply chain requirements, deep automation expertise, and a strong network across the intralogistics industry to accelerate Rainbow Dynamics’ expansion in the region.
