Biography

Alfred Chen is the Founder and CEO of Rainbow Dynamics, a global leader in intelligent warehouse automation and advanced storage solutions, specializing in next-generation technologies including 4-way shuttle AS/RS systems. With a unique background spanning global strategy consulting, logistics infrastructure, robotics innovation, and entrepreneurship, Alfred has dedicated his career to transforming supply chains through technology, automation, and operational excellence.

Alfred began his professional career at McKinsey & Company in 2013, where he advised leading global enterprises on strategy, operational transformation, organization development, and business growth. Recognized for his strategic capabilities and leadership impact, he advanced to the position of Partner at McKinsey before transitioning into the logistics and technology industry. His experience at McKinsey provided him with deep exposure to complex global business challenges and large-scale transformation programs across multiple industries.

Following McKinsey, Alfred joined GLP in 2021, one of the world’s leading logistics infrastructure and supply chain technology investment platforms. At GLP, he served as Special Assistant to Chairman Ming Mei, working closely with the company’s founder and leadership team on strategic initiatives, business development, and innovation opportunities shaping the future of logistics. During his time at GLP, Alfred founded GRS, an internally incubated robotic business within GLP. GRS focuses on applying advanced technologies to solve real-world logistics challenges and improve warehouse productivity.

Alfred holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Göttingen, Germany. He also participated in an academic exchange program at the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego), further broadening his international perspective in technology and innovation. His strong foundation in computer science, combined with his strategic consulting experience and entrepreneurial leadership, enables him to bridge the gap between digital innovation and industrial execution.
