4D Pallet Shuttle
The autonomous vehicle carrying up to 2,000 kg. Equipped with two independent wheel sets — 8 for lane direction, 4 for main aisle.
The Rainbow Dynamics 4D Shuttle is a fully autonomous AS/RS that moves across lanes, aisles, and levels, handling loads up to 2,000 kg with exceptional speed, precision, and storage efficiency.
The 4D shuttle AS/RS is a collection of independent parts. It is a purpose-engineered ecosystem where each component is designed to work in unison.
The autonomous vehicle carrying up to 2,000 kg. Equipped with two independent wheel sets — 8 for lane direction, 4 for main aisle.
A rack-integrated lift handling loads up to 2,000 kg with 13.2 kW installed power and energy recuperation.
Pallet shuttle racking system with customized rail profiles. No height loss from main rails or crossing profiles.
Proprietary warehouse management and control software with a Digital Twin simulator, machine learning path optimization.
Shuttles travel along deep storage lanes, across main aisles, and between rack levels via integrated lift — without any manual intervention or re-positioning.
Deep-lane storage with no aisle space wasted on forklift access. The compact racking structure eliminates height loss from rail crossings, maximizing every cubic meter.
Electromechanical spindle-lifting, energy recuperation on the integrated lift, and opportunistic on-line charging ensure peak performance with a fraction of the power consumption.
At every rack crossing, the shuttle's independent wheel sets swap orientation in 3 seconds. No turntables, no lifts between directions — just continuous flow.
Operational from -25°C cold-store environments through to +40°C ambient conditions. The same shuttle hardware serves both requirements without modification.
The proprietary WMS and WCS software stack connects via standard interface to any existing ERP or warehouse management system, eliminating costly rip-and-replace migrations.
Most pallet shuttle systems require different hardware for cold store, ambient, and everything in between. The 4D shuttle AS/RS is engineered to operate across the entire storage spectrum.

Software triggers the shuttle's self-recovery routine. The vehicle drives autonomously to the nearest maintenance point without operator intervention.
If automatic recovery cannot complete, an operator approaches with a WiFi remote and manually drives the shuttle to the maintenance area — no physical entry into the rack zone required.
In the rare worst-case scenario, only the affected zone is paused. All other shuttles reroute around the blocked area. A technician extracts the unit manually with a spare shuttle deployed immediately.
Everything you need to know about warehouse automation, robotics integration, and deploying intelligent Rainbow Dynamics automation systems.
Warehouse robots optimize inventory placement, reduce aisle dependency, improve pallet movement, and support high-density storage systems that maximize available warehouse space
Yes. Automated warehouse robots can reduce manual travel, improve accuracy, increase throughput, and create measurable payback as order volume and storage pressure grow.
Goods-to-person robots bring inventory directly to operators, reducing walking time and helping teams complete more picks with better consistency during demand peaks.
ROI depends on labor, throughput, storage density, accuracy, and facility utilization. Rainbow Dynamics helps quantify these factors during discovery and solution planning.
Implementation timing depends on facility readiness, integration scope, equipment configuration, and deployment scale. A project assessment defines the timeline and rollout plan.
