Following major 4-way shuttle commercial validation in the United States, the warehouse robotics pioneer introduces double-deep ASRS technology at its Tokyo opening event.

Beijing  — July 20, 2026 — Rainbow Dynamics, a global provider of 4-way shuttle and warehouse robotics solutions, today announced its formal expansion into East Asia with the establishment of its new subsidiary, Rainbow Dynamics Japan. To spearhead regional operations, corporate strategy, and automation partnerships, the company has appointed warehouse management software (WMS) pioneer Sumio Tanaka as General Manager of the newly formed Tokyo-based entity.

This geographic expansion follows its Western momentum. From Jessup, Maryland, Rainbow Dynamics deployed its 4D shuttle technology via Alliance Material Handling for an e-commerce leader’s LTL network, saving real estate while maximizing efficiency. Rainbow Dynamics also commands deep enterprise validation through large-scale RackBot and Goods-to-Person fulfilment deployments with industry leaders Nippon Express and Bosch.

At the formal opening commemorative event for the Japan office, Rainbow Dynamics further accelerated its technology roadmap by officially unveiling the Deep2 RackBot. This next-generation, double-deep configuration of its signature robotics platform is engineered specifically to maximize storage density and elevate operational throughput efficiency for high-volume automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) applications. The Deep2 configuration delivers immediate capital efficiency, reducing initial investment in RackBot hardware by 50% while simultaneously increasing facility storage density by 30% compared to standard single-deep variations.
