Another flagship 4D Pallet Shuttle deployment is Daito Logistics’ Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Shanghai, China.
The center stores and ships large volumes of palletized goods, primarily Uni-Charm products.
Diapers and hygiene products have relatively high turnover and are also subject to significant shipment fluctuations driven by promotions and seasonality. Balancing storage capacity with outbound capacity had therefore become a major challenge.
With the previous storage model, it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain both storage and operating efficiency, and the facility was nearing the limits of its ability to handle rising volumes.
Rainbow Dynamics’ 4D Pallet Shuttle was introduced to address these issues.
The system improves storage and retrieval capacity while enabling high-density storage, contributing to greater operational efficiency across the logistics center.
It has also improved safety by reducing forklift travel distances and lowered operating costs through reduced labor requirements.
